I'm having a problem.

I have an VFP app running on a Win 2003 server, that includes a graphic in a report.

It doesn't work on this particular server, and I suspect it is because MSPaint is not installed on it.

I've tried adding it via the 'Add/Remove Programs', but it's not listed as a windows component!

How do I get it on the server?

I appreciate that this query is a bit nebulous to the VFP forum... and I'm going to post this question elsewhere too.

Martin

Martin,

I can see it - it's under Windows Components / Accessories and Utilities / Accessories.

You mentioned Win 2003 server. But you are trying to install it on the client computer, aren't you? It's the client, not the server, where you want the file association.

Hi Mike,

No, the application actually runs on the server - it scans a VFP database and sends e-mails etc... so I do need the association on the server.

As I said before, Paint isn't in the Accessories on this machine - I have no idea why, I thought it was pretty much on everything windows based!

Curious

It's a VFP thing Mike, the underlying files were loaded into the general fields using VFP and it puts in the class reference to MSPaint... and without MSPaint on the server - properly installed - the app running on that is not happy!

I think my end users IT dept are partly to blame here - I have never seen an installation of any version of Windows where Paint wasn't even an option!

Hmmm....
