I am having a problem printing multiple copies of a booklet from indesign 3.0. I am printing from Windows 2000 workstation to a networked xerox n4525 which has a 3000 sheet offset stacker/stapler. The issue is that Indesign seems to send every page separately to the printer. So the printer sees a stream of pages and assumes they are one document. Pagemaker 7 on the other hand would send a postscript file which would rip once print n times. The printer knew when each set was done and could offset stack, or staple.

I have talked to Xerox, and they said this is a known issue. Can not find any info on the Adobe web site. Any additional assistance or comments would be appreciated.

Yes that might be a good solution except that acrobat 7.0 professional does the same thing. I think they share the same postscript printing system, so that does not solve the problem.

It was a good thought.
