problem on format the report

FOR AN EXAMPLE:
categories: Date:
Ball 01/01/01
Plate 01/01/01
Cup 02/01/01
Plate 03/01/01

I want to print a Monthly report that sort by the most appearance in the form (Plate). thank you . .

In the query add a counter to count the instances of categories, then in the report add this counter field and hide it. Then within the sorting and grouping section of the report, sort on the counter field in either ascending or descending order.
