Problem MGC

after having completed the upgrade of CPMGS 7.5 on the display, missing information and the card does not have loudware MGC.

I try to load and leave the following loudware Monthly


CSP loadware MGCCCD01 is not compatible with CPMG and cannot be installed
Install latest CSP loadware on Call Server.

Failed to upgrade CSP loadware.Upgrade aborted

any suggestions

Did you configure the MGC on the CPMG as a MGS in LD 97?

Also do you have the latest Deplist installed on the CS?

I am sending resolutions to cases that have nothing better to do or are similar, but more than anything what's interesting is the way to load the gold loadware or by command line image and the locations where these are placed, it may help to give an idea of how you can solve the problem.
sldsThe MGC must be downgraded to the Gold (boot) lw and then upgraded to MGCCAM08 should the error occur.

1) Out current CSP lw and install Gold/boot CSP lw:

In the Call Server (CS) within pdt:
pdt> lwstat
Note the load ware patch number for the currently installed MGCC load ware. It may not be MGCCAM08 if recovery was previously attempted. For example, trying to go back to the previous load ware.
Example:

Load ware patch number: 4
Patch file: /u/loadware/MGCCAM08.LW
Patch is loaded &installed
Install date: Wed Oct 23 14:34:19 2009

pdt> lwout <patch number, ie 4>
Confirm, but do not select to upgrade all MGCs now. CSP will now default to the Gold/boot image. LWSTAT will show no installed LW for MGCC.

2) Downgrade the CSP LW to the Gold lw:

pdt>sl1input
> ld 143
> upgmg <IPMG that failed initial upgrade, ie 14 0>
Once the upgrade completes, the CSP loadware can be checked as follows:
> upgmg stat <IPMG that was just reloaded to Gold image>
Example:
.upgmg stat 4 0

3) Install MGCCAM08 and upgrade the MGC:

Get back into pdt (ctrl p-d-t)
pdt> cd /u/loadware
pdt> ls
pdt> lwload MGCCAM08

Note the assigned loadware patch number.
Example:
pdt> lwload MGCCAM08.LW
Loading loadware patch from "/u/loadware/MGCCAM08.LW"
Load ware patch number is 4.

pdt> lwinst <patch number>

You will see the Gold image being replaced with MGCCAM08. Confirm, but do NOT select to upgrade MGCs now.
Example:
pdt> lwinst 4
Loadware "MGCCAH19" will be replaced by "MGCCAM08+"
Do you wish to continue (y/n)? [y] y
MGC Loadware patches have been put into service.
Do you want to upgrade all MGCs now (y/n)? [y] n
Please use UPGMG commands in Ovl143 to upgrade.

Repeat the overlay 143 commands for upgrading and confirming that now the MGCCAM08 loadware was installed.

Note that multiple MGCs can be downgraded to Gold and then upgraded to MGCCAM08 if needed.

I am also getting same issues any updates ?

I seems to be when installing MGCFAA19 that it fails. Seems to work ok on MGC cards but not CP-MGS cards

Well tell them that I opened a report in AVAYA and their response is to replace the CP-MGS

Completion Narrative CP MG card is bad, hardware replacement

and what you say is correct cuandi MGCFAA19 try to load the card there is damage.

Avaya has found a fault with upgrade on CPMGS cards there is a fix for this now. We have just recovered 2 cards today ok. It is a bit of a process but it works ok
