Hi,

I have a link problem. Is it possible to link a table on a server from my hard drive? I tried linking a table from my local hard drive (C) to a copy of the database placed on our server. When I tried to open a form with the linked table, I receive an error message indicating that the table linked to the hard drive was not located.

Is there any way to get around this?

Thanks.

How are you linking tables?

First, make sure the table with the same name does not exist in your database.

If you click "New" table and then select "Link...", you can point and click to the database and then select the table.

Or, especially if you have already previous linked the tables, you can use the Link Manager (Tools -> Database Utilities) and select the appropriate tables to link / relink.

Note: You should have read / write access to the target directory. If yo are sharing the front end with other users, all users have to have the same drive mapping or using the same URL.

Got ya!

Thank you so much for your response.
