I'm trying to install a wireless desktop card (D-Link DWL-G510) for our network here at home...we have 2 desktops already using this same type card w/o a hitch. Had no problems at all w/previous installs...
When trying to install drivers I get the following error and cannot proceed:
Error 1606: could not access network location\\team******123\shared documents\workcpu\mypictures1.
This 'network place' is on our home network...so I checked the path on this cpu to find basically a bunch of pics, etc. in this folder.
I've even tried installing in safe mode, but then the cpu doesn't respond to the installer file--I double-click and it looks like it's about to run, but then no...
What could be causing this??? Could I just drop the Drivers in my main Drivers file, or is there something else I'm missing???

What OS's were no problem? What OS is a problem?

What are the differences between the PC's that work and the One that doesn't?

Nevermind!!! I took the cpu back upstairs, connected to network w/CAT-5 cable, tried install again...and it worked!!!! (???) I'll take it.
THANKS ANYWAY!!!!
p.s. they're all running XP Pro, by the way...
