Hi,

When I tried to install PitStop Pro 6 on a new G5 panther, I got the following error messages:

"Error creating folder.
1008:9,-5000 Access denied error"

After clicking OK, I got the next error message:

"You do not have enough access privileges for this installation."

I was logging in as an admin to install the software. I did some research and found that the installer was probably trying to access some "system critical files."

I can't find anything on Enfocus website talking about either such error or updates for PitStop Pro 6.

Please help.

I still haven't figured out the how to fix this one yet. Anyone has any tip, please?

Yeah, I fixed the problem. I called PitStop and their tech support knew exactly what to do. Go to Application >> Adobe Acrobat >> right-click on Adobe Acrobat 6 and select the option to view the package content (I'm using a PC and don't remember exactly what is called). Basically, PitStop tries to create some folder inside the package content and you need to give yourself the read and write permission to the content, which by defaut is set for the system only. To be sure, I'd suggest you call PitStop tech support. It's very simple but my short-span memory isn't too helpful.

There you go. Log in as Root and enjoy that ultimate power.
