Problem installing HP printer to network?

I am installing an HPlaserjet 1012 to print thru the network and receive Status "Error - Printing" when sending a document to print. We are a small office w/o a network admin. Can someone give me reasons why I would get this msg. or guide me to somewhere I can get instructions on setting up a printer thru the network. Thanks!

One thing I noticed - The owner comes up as Guest. Could this be a problem?
