Hi,

I setup sharepoint server on my machine. I use domain account for login information. My problem is when i give permission to only domain\user1 for a given site then also all user from my domain group are able to login they their Active Directory username/password.

I want to set user base access for given a site.

Can anyone help me ?

Thanks in Advance

Hello,

Have you made sure that you do not have anonymous access turned on in the IIS and in SharePoint?

Also if you have created a sub-site check so that you did not chose to inherit the user rights from the parent site.

Are you running the Windows SharePoint Services or the SharePoint Portal Server.

Anotyher thing to think about is that if users belong to a security group that are part of the administrators (built-in) group on the server they will be able to access any sites wether they are added as users in sharepoint or not.

Regards,
Thomas
