Dear Members;
I need help in setting up my system with following information.
I have 24 port X650 Summit switch and also a Windows Server 2008 machine with Qlogic 2562 dual port fiber channel card attached to port 1 and port 4 of the switch. Also on port 2 and port 3 of the switch my NAS server with another Qlogic 2562 has been attached to.
I have tested the point to point connection between my NAS server and the host without any problem. But through the fabric architecture I can see that the connection has not been set up and the loop is down.
I have created two VLANS with following details:
* X650-24x(SSns).96 # show vlan "opene"
VLAN Interface with name opene created by user
Admin State: Enabled Tagging: 802.1Q Tag 2020
Virtual router: VR-Default
Primary IP : 192.168.20.1/24
IPv6: None
STPD: None
Protocol: Match all unfiltered protocols
Loopback: Disabled
NetLogin: Disabled
QosProfile: None configured
Egress Rate Limit Designated Port: None configured
Flood Rate Limit QosProfile: None configured
Ports: 2. (Number of active ports=0)
Tag: 2, 3
Flags: (*) Active, (!) Disabled, (g) Load Sharing port
(b) Port blocked on the vlan, (m) Mac-Based port
(a) Egress traffic allowed for NetLogin
(u) Egress traffic unallowed for NetLogin
(t) Translate VLAN tag for Private-VLAN
(s) Private-VLAN System Port, (L) Loopback port
(e) Private-VLAN End Point Port
* X650-24x(SSns).97 # show vlan "winserv"
VLAN Interface with name winserv created by user
Admin State: Enabled Tagging: 802.1Q Tag 2121
Virtual router: VR-Default
Primary IP : 192.168.21.1/24
IPv6: None
STPD: None
Protocol: Match all unfiltered protocols
Loopback: Disabled
NetLogin: Disabled
QosProfile: None configured
Egress Rate Limit Designated Port: None configured
Flood Rate Limit QosProfile: None configured
Ports: 2. (Number of active ports=0)
Tag: 1, 4
Flags: (*) Active, (!) Disabled, (g) Load Sharing port
(b) Port blocked on the vlan, (m) Mac-Based port
(a) Egress traffic allowed for NetLogin
(u) Egress traffic unallowed for NetLogin
(t) Translate VLAN tag for Private-VLAN
(s) Private-VLAN System Port, (L) Loopback port
(e) Private-VLAN End Point Port
* X650-24x(SSns).98 #
I have enable ipforwarding between the VLANs, I was wondering what I have missed as part of the set up or configuration that the connection has not been established and there is no active port on any VLANs.
Kind Regards
Eli
