Problem in sending and receiving internet mails thru proxy

On machine 'A', I have installed both Domino server and Notes and on the other machine 'B', I have installed only Notes. My modem is connected to machine 'A' and is having a proxy server on it. From machine 'A', I am able to send and receive both Notes mail as well as internet mail (POP3 and SMTP). But thru machine 'B', I am only being able to send and receive the Notes mail. I am able to access internet thru web browser from machine 'B' thru proxy.

I am sure the problem is related to the settings in machine 'B'.

The hostname of machine 'A' is 'ntserver'.
The port on which proxy runs is 6588.
My POP3 server is esoftech.com.
SMTP server is mail.satyam.net.in.
Domain name is 'domino' ( while setting up domino server )
Domino server is 'server'.
Mail server is 'server/esoft'.
email address of the user is ketan@esoftech.com

These are my settings on machine 'B':
I have created 2 accounts.
1) POP mail where I have given
Account server name : ntserver
login name : ketan#esoftech.com
password : ****
protocol : POP
SSL : Disabled
Only from locations : *
Port Number : 110

2) SMTP mail where I have given
Account server name : ntserver
login name : ketan#mail.satyam.net.in
password : ****
protocol : SMTP
SSL : Disabled
Only from locations : *
Port Number : 25

But after sending a mail to a user e.g. k_shah@usa.net on the replicator page it shows:

Sending outgoing internet mail : with ntserver 1 Sent
Receiving internet mail: POP3 Protocol Error
Ketan Shah: with server/esoft 0 received/1 Sent.

But on checking the account of k_shah@usa.net the mail never arrives.

What should be the problem ?
