While working on Red Hat Linux 9, rpm command hanged. I tried to rebuild the rpm database by the command:

rpm --rebuilddb

The system returned error after some time as follows:-
error:db4error(16) from dbenv-> remove: device or resource busy

Nothing happened after that. I can not install or remove any rpm now.

Can someone help in sorting this issue out ?

Thanks In Advance
