Problem in intallation Of Report Manager

I am trying to install SSRS 2005 on a report server and the database is on another server. I selected the components and installed them but did not do sharepoint integration.
Now the problem is whenever I try to check the installation for report server and manager using

http://localhost/reportserver

and

http://localhost/reports,

I get the messga ethat web page cannot be displayed.
Does that mean that Report manager and reporting services is not installed properly?Please help.

Try using the port number in your URL (usually 8080 - You can check this in IIS on the server itself).

Example:

[URL unfurl="true"]http://<servername>:8081/Reports/Pages/Folder.aspx[/URL]

localhost will only work when you are calling it from the server itself. Otherwise it needs the server/instance name.

I tried that but still getting the same message.

First check whether

http://localhost

is working or not.
Then next step check from Start ->SQL Server... ->Reporting Service Configuration -> check whether SSRS report services got installed.

That made me think of something else. Be sure the SSRS service is started as well.

Thanks to all. This issue is resolved now as I Turned on .Net framework but Now I am having another problem. I created a report In SSRS and want to deploy it to a folder in Report Manager but when I click deploy, It asks me for Reporting services login user name and Pwd and does not accepts anything.
I have no idea what to put in.

Please help.
