Hi,
I am trying to open the asp file throught IE6.0 Edit option in Frontpage. Sometimes it gives that Edit option enabled , but most of the time it is disabled.
Yesterday, it was opening the asp file in my local "temporary Internet files" folder. I reinstalled Frontpage2002, & now it is opening the page on the server i.e it is properly connecting to server.
Is this a problem of Frontpage ? Or do I have to make some settings on server ? Or it has to do with Frontpage extensions ?

Please HELP ............

Thanks

Be sure that you have Front Page set as the editor for asp pages, and it should work. It sounds like notepad or something similar is getting the job, by default.

I have already set FrontPage as HTML editor. We have 3 different web servers. One one server , it works just fine , but it gives the disabled option for other two servers.
On other machines it works fine for all the three servers.

In IE , Tools ....Internet Options ... Programs ....
I think there you need to set HTML editor.
I have set FrontPage there.
It is working for site A on server A1
BUT it is not working for site B on server B1.

Even for any internet site , it is giving that EDIT option disabled.

Well then, since you're doing all the editing from the same work station, the only other thing I can think of is to check with the ISP for server b, and make sure all your FP extensions are enabled. That's grasping at straws, but it's the only other thing I can imagine.

Sorry I couldn't help any.
