Dear All I am facing following issue in Micros 3700 Ver 4.3 Hf3
In micros server old backup file are not deleting automatically although i have configure last 7 files but In system all the old backup file also saved we have to delete old file manually

Because of this problem after every 25 or 30 days d drive is getting full and micros stop working then we have to delete old files manually

Anybody have idea regarding this issue

Couple of thoughts -

Are there any errors in the 3700d log?

Are you getting .bad backup files? Micros won't auto-purge when the most recent backup is bad. Usually running a rebuild on the database will fix this.

It could be folder permissions. Make sure the user running the backups, or the autosequence service login user, has delete access to the backup folder.

Write a batch file to rename the DBS micros1.mbz, micros2.mbz etc and delete the unneccessary files. Rotate / rename daily.
delete micros7.mbz
rename other files (6>7, 5>6, 4>5 etc)
xcopy/rename todays file into locaftion and called micros1.mbz
