Hello,

I have a fact table that have 2 dates, the date of the creation of an order and the date of the completion of the order.

I want to create a filter where I say that the create date is in the current month. I want to do the same to the close date.

Now What I want is to create a report with data for the last 6 months of last year and I want that each value of my metric(number of orders) sums all the orders that in the month that is shown the values appear only the orders that was created in that months.

Can you help me doing this?

Thanks

Have you thought through potential options for resolving this yourself? Have you done any research or experimentation?

This forum is to assist your development as a technical resource. It is not the first place you go whenever you have a problem. Companies pay a lot for the type of expertise that we have to offer.

Play with the product and then come back. Show that you have made a good faith effort to resolve this yourself and that you are truly stumped and we will help you.

Yes I have tried to do this by miself.

But I don't have any experience with MSTR and nobody who can help me.

Sorry.

Well, I am going to assume that you have read the manuals, done some of the eTrainer tutorials, and have accessed the knowledge base...

Where do we start?

Have you brought your tables into the warehouse catalog?
Have you modeled attributes / facts?Have you established relationships between attributes (parent : child)?
Have you successfully created a report?
Have you already created a time filter for create date?

Start here, tell us what you have done so far, what your SQL and data model look like and then we'll have something to chew on.
