Hi,

Thanks in advance

Not sure what you mean by "engage tone, but in the LD97 XCTP Gateway, there is a CFWT Prompt. If that is set to YES, it means "Conference Warning Tone"

I thought that was only Option11 related, but it might apply to 81C also.

On large systems the conference warning tone is enabled with a dip switch on the NT8D17 Conf/TDS card. You would have to check all 8 cards.
If "engage tone" means busy tone then it is possible there is a trunk involved in the conference that does not have disconnect supervision, probably loop start, and a conferee has dropped off.

have to agree... define engage tone.. perferbly to a tone that nortel has defined.. we realize that english may not be your 1st lang, but no one here has a clue as to "engage" tone,,, is it a single tone or one that keeps repeating during conversation

engaged usually means busy in english (as in the person you are calling is engaged on another call), a broken tone on/off/on/off same tone constantly (could be Conf warning tone or the line problem mentioned by Stanley).

Would sugest starting by stating conf circuits out of hours are they all Idle? (if not trace your line down).

Then probably try disbling and pulling one of your cards and checking the dip switch (Switch 2 position 4 ON to disable tone on NT8D17).
