I am having problem with my HP 2110v all-in-one printer. When I power-up the printer; while the unit is initializing, the Scan carriage moves forward then starts moving back to it initial position but doesn’t stop and shut off the motor. The motor will shut off after about 10 seconds, and then all of the panel lights blink. I see no switch that the carriage should engage; I am assuming that the counter motor tells the unit to stop some how. Any ideals on what is not stopping the carriage?

Unfortunately, with the all-in-ones, they aren't made well. HP doesn't sell spare parts for most models, and they usually don't last beyond a year in business environments. You might go to HP's website to look for a service manual, I doubt you'll get much information, other than button codes to do a factory reset. That's what you are looking at, then its time to consider replacing it. If its under warranty, don't bother, stop and call HP now.

I take it you found the button combination to reset the device to factory defaults?
