Hi,
I've been having this problem on and off with a number of reports, and have been able to (brutally) work around it. Unfortunately, it's happening all the time now.
Basically, when I export a report from Access to Excel, I get an error message "Overflow (Error 6)".
This only appears to be happening on larger files (over 10 pages.
The report is in landscape. It did contain a Memo Field, and I thought that was the problem. But I cut that down to a 255character text field (XL97 doesn't allow more than 255 characters in a single cell - I think), and it doesn't solve the problem.
I also tried to save to a simple file name on a small path (C:\temp), thinking that might work. Again, no.
I can output the report as a text file, and re-import it to Excel, but that loses the formatting.
Anybody had this problem, or know a resolution? Microsoft KB doesn't seem to have any help for me.
Thanks in advance.
Fred
