Problem ejecting tapes from my Autoloader running 11d

Hi all,

Hoping someone will be able to assist with a problem. We are running 11d on a 2003 Server connected to a SuperLoader 3 device. When we try to eject tapes using either the GUI or the front panel on the autoloader it give an error pointing to the backup software. I have contacted Veritas and they talked to 2 different techs of which one said you go to the media and select "export" and then eject that tape and another said it cannot be done. Does anyone know how to eject tapes from an autoloader without having to power-cycle the drive everytime?

Depending on the autoloader you generally have an option to unload from the front panel to a slot.

Another option, I know w/ our HP autoloader, is that the software (BE) puts a lock on the library during jobs. Sometimes I will have to go into Backup Exec and 'Unlock' the library via Device tab. (Find the library, right-click, Unlock)
