We have recently set up a Sharepoint portal and I can not edit it using Frontpage. Can anyone help me figure out what is going wrong?
Here's the error message I'm getting:
soap:Server Exception of type Microsoft.SharePoint.SoapServer.SoapServerException was thrown. A Web Part or Web Form Control on this Web Part Page cannot be displayed or imported because it is not registered as safe on this site. You may not be able to open this page in an HTML editor that is compatible with Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services, such as Microsoft Office FrontPage. To fix this page, contact the site administrator to have the Web Part or Web Form Control configured as safe. You can also remove the Web Part or Web Form Control from the page by using the Web Parts Maintenance Page. If you have the necessary permissions, you can use this page to disable Web Parts temporarily or remove personal settings. For more information, contact your site administrator.

I believe this can happen if you have specified a "fixed" ip address for the server instead of [all unassigned].

We found that on a microsoft web site and changed it in IIS to be "All Unassigned" but it didn't fix the problem. Was there something else we should have done?

hmmm... mabye if you have your site configured to use ssl?
Or that there is really something on the page that is faulty you can check this by opening the page with the
?contents=1 switch (
BTW i also have my site configued to a fixed ip adress and i just copy the pages to a local sharepoint machine and edit them there, then i just paste them back.

Greetings
