Problem dropping 2nd call in Phone Manager Softphone

The problem is once you are on the 2nd call in Phone Manager Pro and the first is on hold if you click on the "End currant Call" button both calls drop from the phone. This also happens if the person on the other end of the 2nd call hangs up, both call are then also dropped.

This is a 412 running 3.1.65.

I do not understand why if the first call is on hold and you end the second call, what would cause both calls to be diconnected?

I tries going back to an older release of the user software and the same problem happens.
 
There are many problems regarding the pc softphone. Try to do an assisted transfer and talk to your collegue before transferring the call.......

There is no transferring happening. All we are trying to do is take the second call then end it and go back to the first but it always disconnects both when we hit "End Currant Call
 
I'll give it a try as well tomorrow and add it to the long list of pc softphone problems with Avaya.
 
if you are not intending to transfer the 1st call, try Park instead.
 
Parking the call should work.

One thing is when the second call comes in if you press the hold both calls are also lost so the only way you can take the second call is to click right on it. Parking would probably work but the customer is going to look at me funny. "So I should not press hold, or click on it but press park to hold the first call???"

Don't get me wrong I appreciate the idea. Even I start to get disapointed when to do a simple thing like take a second call you have to ignore the glaring hold button and park your first call. Why is there even a hold button if it does not work lol?

this actualy sounds like a Phone Manager bug
The sugestion of park was intended as a "quick fix" to get tyou customer working.

Avaya has a ticket open for me and I do agree that it is a bug in the Phone Manager Im wonrdering though if other have this problem, I even went back releases of user software thinking it was a bug in 3.1.21 (user CD) but no go. I'm thinking maybee something in 3.1.65 loaded in the 412?
 
I just closed a ticket with avaya. They will send you a new bin file. (3.1.564604)

Will fix the problem...
