Hi,

I run IE6 on a 56K modem, and whenever I try to download anything from the internet (pdf. documents, software programs, anything), all I ever receive is a message stating:

“Internet Explorer cannot download <the file> from <the site>
Internet Explorer was not able to open this internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.”

I've looked for a sloution to my problem and have yet to find anything workable. It'd be most appreciated if someone could offer some help. Thanks in advance!

Try right-clicking on the target and choose save target as...what version of Ie?

I tried "Save Target As . . ." and it was unsuccessful as well. I'm running IE 6.0 also. Thanks for the idea though!

Anyone else have ideas?

Thanks in advance

I tried to install the service pack, but, like everything else I try to download, it doesn't go through. I WOULD uninstall IE, but I'm not sure if I will even be able to go back and download the setup from the internet (since I've had problems downloading everything). Thanks for the help, but if anyone else has any ideas, it'd be most appreciated.
Thanks!

Only good thing I can say about my little back-woods boonie ISP is that recently they sent me a disk with mostly useless software...that DID include IE5.5...maybe yours will send you one since it seems we are installing things so often.
