Hi,

The message directly above this one is also mine (it's the same message). I posted before I put the subject line. Anyways, I have a windows 98 system with PWS installed. I don't have Front Page Server Extensions installed. I checked the microsoft web site and I was only able to find Front Page Server Extensions 2000 and 2002. I downloaded the 2000 version (said it was backwards compatible), however, when I tried to run the installation, I was prompted that I would need to install Windows NT Service Pack 6a.

Does this sound correct? Has anyone ever run into this? I don't have Windows NT installed so it seemed strange that I would need to install the Service Pack for NT. Does anyone know if I can download Front Page Server Extensions for 98? I wasn't able to find these anywhere.

I'm not possitive but I do think the NT server pack is needed with Win 98 when using PWS. There isn't a actual download for 98 regarding PWS and all related issues and in MS site you are directed to download the NT server pack when installing PWS. [bomb]
I may not get it the 1st or 2nd time,
but how sweet that 15th time can be.

Hi,

Thanks for the responses. Both make sense. Everything seemed to work fine once I download the windows 2000 version. There was no need to download the sp with that.

Thanks,
