Problem displaying CLOB Field data in Crystal Reports

Hi,

Using BOTH crystal V10, and crystal 2008 - the same problem occurs.
Crystal Oracle ODBC Data connection for an Oracle database.

I have a table with a CLOB field type, that is displaying in crystal as a bunch of squares.

I have tried running a report against the same table on another machine, to see if Crystal was the problem, but I get the same results there.

The weird thing is, that this CLOB field type (which contains <b>freetext data </b>typed in by the user NOT any pictures, files etc), has worked fine for the past year, and only just gone screwy in the last month or so.

I have tried to find out if someone has changed a setting on the server, but we're all stumped on this.

I dont get any error messages - just the data not displaying as it should.

I have also tried getting the data from another copy of the data on another database and server, but the same problem occurs.

Can anyone give me any hints on what I should be looking for to try and fix this??
