problem differentianl backup arcserve 11.5 linux

I have setup an Arcserve 11.5 (linux rhel 5) backup schedule as follows:
5 day backup, full backup on friday with Differential backups, with GFS enabled (I instruct BrightStor ARCserve
Backup to append my data to the media for differential backup).
Everything works fine for the full backup, yet arcserve will not do a differential backup the next day, rather another full backup.
Can you help me ?
