Problem Deleting Public Folders

OK, Exchange 5.5 SP3....Single exchange server environment.

I'm trying to kill some public folders and it keeps on telling me that I don't have permission. However, I've made myself the owner of all the public folders. Even as the administrator, and I still can't do it.

These public folders were here when I joined this company so I don't know who/how created them.

Any help?
