hi..

i've got problem using mfc. i learn from the book how to display the data from database.so far i only manage to retrieve 1 table from my database..
my question is, how i'm going to create another view for other tables..do i have to create a new view and recordset for each table..if possible can someone give some example how to do it so...TQ

Does the book you have cover that subject? Perhaps it is implied that you would repeat the process for each table but you would think there would be at least a mention of that in the book. Try looking again.

Depending on the design a row based view it is possible to have a single view mutable to each query result. I have successfully used the list control, and of course list view, to do just that. Manipulating the control dynamically to fit any row-column based data set.

If go through a tutorial on using the list control in report mode it should become clear to you how this could be done.

Does that help?
