I’m pretty well versed using Access97 and its Make Table Query function to make NEW tables from an existing Table data in the same database, but I’m having a real problem creating a NEW table using a Make Table Query from another table in Access 2003 database!

I drop the fields I want to use in the NEW table into the query design grid (5 fields) from a Table that’s in this same database that contains 25+ fields. But when I run the query in view mode a funny thing happens, all 25 fields show up! I’ve tried dropping all 25 fields down into the query design grid, then un-checking the ones I don’t want and that did not work! I’ve run the query and made the NEW table and all 25+ are there!

Has anyone had this problem?

And if so can someone explain to me how to solve the problem?

View your query properties dialog and you might find something like output all fields...

I found and solved the problem!

I went to the following menu: <Tools> <Options> <Tables/Queries> and unchecked the OutPut All Fields box in the Query Design area.

Thanks for your help anaway!
