Problem converting legacy .dwg to .dwf?

We are converting our legacy .dwg files to .dwf for shop viewing. Most of our drawings are model space layouts with the part/assembly drawn 1:1 with the template scaled accordingly to fit the part. This means we have to set the scale each time we plot a new drawing. When publishing to .dwf the newer .dwg's publish correctly since they retain the proper plotter settings (scale). However, the older drawings have lost the correct plotter settings (scale) due to networking and plotter changes, and publish to .dwf unproportioned to the paper background. We hope to batch convert all the drawings at once, but our tests on the older files have discouraged that possibility. Does a better way exist to publish our (several thousand) drawings correctly, besides manually publishing each one? Hopefully someone out there has encountered this problem before. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Could these be set in a script that you could run. AutoCAD has help on scripts in it help dialog.
