problem connecting xp home to vpn 1

Hello all,

I have one user that needs to connect to our network at work. He is running xp home edition at home. I'm running xp home edition at home too, but he can log on from my home using his credentials, but he can't connect from his home computer using his credentials.

I don't remember if I did anything in particular to my xp home edition computer at home to get it to work.

Any ideas what's wrong?

What kind of VPN? What is the error?

It's most likely a problem with his router, make sure pass through has been enable if it is an option. Reboot the router if you haven't already.

I had a similar situation. My friend didn't have IPSEC set to automatic start in Services. We changed that setting, rebooted the PC and had joy.
