Hi,

I've got a TS running on Win 2003 Server that has developed a strange problem over the last week.

When you connect to it the desktop background colour displays for a few seconds then the connection terminates without any error message at all and you are returned to your local PC.

Sometimes it takes 3 attempts before it connects ok and the icons on the desktop and the start button display.

I've checked event viewer on the server and there are no error messages or anything..

Anyone have any ideas?

I would first verify if your users have a corrupt profile. Try a new user on the server or delete the profile for a test user and see if the problem goes away.

I would also verify since you are getting disconnected that you don't have disconnected sessions that are trying to reconnect.

Finally, I would monitor the available system resources. See if the memory or CPU are pegging out when you try to connect.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
