Hi,

I am trying to connect to a new BCM 3.5 with my laptop using Internet Explorer 6.0 running on WinXP. I get the first screen and I click on CONFIGURE. I get the username/password prompt and I enter them correctly. I then get an error " Login Failed. BCM server not responding " ( or something similar to this ). I connected through the serial port without problems. I connected with a Win2000 machine running IE 5.5 without problems. I know the problem is in my I.E. but don't know where.Any help would be appreciated.

try making the java class runtime engine current ...
ti is a free download from the sun website

(it can pull from the server ...but)

apparently the default passwords are different in 3.5 version ... read the first time user guide (the few pages that came with tehe cabinet)

are u connected back-to-back using crossover or you have a hub/switch?

What are the default passwords on 3.5? I will be upgrading a BCM this weekend to 3.5 and it would be nice to know the password or will it come with the upgrade?

Hi,

Downloading and installing Sun Java solved the problem. Sun Java is now enabled in Internet Explorer and Microsoft Java is disabled. Thanks for the tip :)
