Hi !!!

Just have few questions about sendmail configuration…

1) –

I m in a local network and the mail addresses on the local network are : name@local.network.fr

What I desire is that all the person who send an email in local ( ex : toto@local.network.fr -> tutu@local.network.fr ) view the sender and the receiver with the exact address that means (toto@local.network.fr -> tutu@local.network.fr )

But if the sender send an email to some external (and local) persons of the network (toto@local.network.fr -> tata@network.fr ; tutu@local.network.fr ) , I want that the external receiver sees a different address for the sender and the local receivers and so that he only sees this : (toto@network.fr -> tata@network.fr ; tutu@network.fr )

Is it possible and how can I do that ?

2) –

We use some email person lists in our company, is it possible that if a person who owns the following list (list@network.fr) sends a mail to this list, she doesn't receive this email but that the list receives it ?

Thanks a lot

tom

The answer to the first question would be to use the MASQUERADE_AS("whatever.you.want") directive in sendmail.mc. You can do what you want in the second question using procmail (your local mailer) with what they call recipes.
