Dear All,

We are using VO 1.5 on Netware 6.5.5 server. When a user's password has expired and they try to change the password to a new one, it is takes 2 attempts to change it (2 lots of password).

At the first screen it prompts for the password old and new password and at the top of the screen it says "Universal password is not accessible to user. System will attempt to change your existing password". After you enter the password here, it sometimes throws up a "500 internal server error".

At this screen you need to go back and then you get the "Universal password" screen. This time you enter both password it thorw up another screen which says "your password has expired". Once you change this, it seems to work but then when the user access Netstorage, it prompts for the password again.

By this time the user has no hair left. I have read two TID's which asked whether the LDAP was using 636 and ours is.

Any other ideas anyone ? All ideas most welcome. I( have got screen dumps of the error message, if anyone wants to look at them.
Except the password change problem, it seems to all work well.

Thanking you in advance.

I've seen odd errors like that with other apps, and the problem was with NMAS.

Download eDIr 8.7.3.8 and apply it.

Then go to DOWNLOAD.NOVELL.COM and search for SSP201 - Download and apply it. It has major updates/fixes to NMAS.

That would be a great starting point.
