Hi everybody I hope someone can help me...

I did a program in VFP 6.0 and my tables are ODBC way. it work in all pc´s with several operative system (W98, W95, WNT, etc) less on Windows XP. My ODBC conection not works. My Update, Insert and delete sentences not work.

If somebody know what`s the problem or if VPF and Windows XP are not compatible please tellme

Bigdad

Bigdad,
VFP and XP are quite compatible - I've been using both on almost a daily basis since last October 25th!

It possible you'll need to explicitly load the lastest (last) VFP ODBC driver files on the XP system. Since these files where last included with MDAC 2.5 and XP comes with MDAC 2.7 installed, you'll need to go to and get the necessary files.

First of all I want to say thank´s you fot your help.

I did your suggestion, I downloaded the MDAC 2.7 an installed in my machine but the Odbc conections not work yet. I insert a new register or change someone and the new value is not record. In my others machine this work very good but in my machine with Win XP the conetion not work.

If some body can help me please tell me how

I believe Rick is try to say that MDAC 2.7 does NOT have the VFP ODBC driver in it. You need to go to the link he provided above and download the VFP ODBC driver, then install it on your Windows XP machine.

Good luck,

Ian

Thanks Ian, I always try to be clear, but I guess no matter how you write it, it's always possible to misinterpret it!

Rick

ok pals I´ll try to find the VFP ODBC drivers and I hope that with this my program works on Windows XP

if I need more help I writte you ok???
thanks for the help
