Problem between 2 exchange servers with freetime

I have been asked to look at a freetime issue between two wan connected servers
the problem is that site 1 can see all the freetime and (if permision has been granted) see the calender of the users on server 2 but the reverse is not true, I.e site 2 users cannot see freetime or calenders for users in site 1
Can someone tell me where I should look for this problem
I have been to both sites and compared permisions wilst in phone contact with an IT person at the other site all looks identical ?

any information that can help me would be greatly appreciated

Maybe if someone could explain the processes executed when an outlook client for exch 5.5 goes through to access somebodies freetime/calender...

Are these servers in the same site, or in different sites?

Yes they are at differnt sites connected by direct ISDN connection (i.e no firewall between)
