I support Blackberry 6710s for a large number of clients. Many of them have this problem intermittently where they will place the handheld in the cradle to synchronize using Blackberry Desktop Manager v3.6 and the Blackberry shows as Disconnected in the Desktop Manager. We have been able to temporarily fix the problem a few different ways but none seem to be permanent. Here are the workarounds we have used:
1.) rebooting
2.) changing the port speed on the OS and the Desktop Manager to 9600 baud
3.) deleting the folders in c:\winnt\profiles\%username%\application data\Research in Motion\Intellisync\(some numbered folders)
We are running Windows NT 4 (I know, I know) and the cradle is connected via COM port.
Has anyone seen this problem and hopefully found a solution???
Any help would be very appreciated
