Hi,

Got a slight problem.
I have trouble backing up a SQL 2000 instance.
Below you´ll find the specs.

Server: MS Windows 2003 R2 64-bit SP2
Arcserve r12
Backupagent r12 Build 5454
SQL: MS SQL 2005 SP1 (64bit) ( Instance A )
SQL: MS SQL 2000 SP4 (32bit) ( Instance B ) <- problem with backups

SQL serveragent can see the "B" instance, but the backups always goes "failed".

We use this kind of setup on other servers but with the exception of 64-bit
OS.
Please advise

Brgds,
Mikael

It seems that you are assuming the problem is the configuration. That seems doubtful. Check the activity log and the SQL DB Agent log for errors and troubleshoot accordingly. The CA support site as well as the DB Agent manual have a lot of good stuff on troubleshooting.
