Problem backing up Exchange Brick Level.

Hi all, need helps from all.

Have anyones encountered the following problems before, when backing up Exchange Server Brick-Level.The Exchange Server is sitting in another Server within same Network. I have Backup Agent for Exchange installed. But still have the problem.


E8602 Failed to read from database(DBNAME=Individual Mailboxes\......, EC=Backup Agent Error -- (69)"Read/Write error in named pipes".)

I am assuming you are using ARCserve 2000. MAke sure SP4 is applied to base and agent. There is also a cumulative patch for the agent (I believe a new dbaxchg2.dll). The 69 is really a generic error, would need to try and see in a trace file to see if it is pointing to anything specific.

Hi Fritz4000, thanks for your help. I'm using the ARCserve2000 and I will apply the SP4 fast.

Must I need to apply the cumlatiove patch for agent again after I have apply the SP4?

Pls advice.

I would recomment putting on the cumulative patch since it appears that a number of issues were resolved with that.
