I got a pool of 8 ips form my ISP x.x.x.96 to x.x.x.103 with the mask 255.255.255.248.

I entered this info in my wan connection type
wan ip address: x.x.x.96
subnet mask: 255.255.255.248
default gateway:x.x.x.95
I am able to browse the internet but when i ping anything i get the message destination net unreachable.

If I connect a machine to the lan port of the router and assign one of the public ips to it. It is not able to connect to anything and i cannot ping it from the internet either.

Plese suggest a solution.
Thanks

disable the advance firewall of the router ..

I disabled the advanced firewall option but no help.

I am using below info for WAN connnection right now and I still have this ip working.
wan ip address: x.x.x.26
subnet mask: 255.255.255.252
default gateway:x.x.x.25

I requested 8 additional public IPs and following were provided
wan ip address: x.x.x.96
subnet mask: 255.255.255.248
default gateway:x.x.x.95

I need advice on how to use my new IPs

Help is appreciated!
