Problem after win7 upgrade 2

I have been running Vista and XP (dual boot) on my laptop. I swapped HD and installed my new copy of windows 7. I re installed Delphi and my project files. Now when I run the project from the IDE, it wil hang and I will have to kill delphi. I can run the program from the desktop with no problem. It is just when it's ran from the IDE. Am i supposed to delete some files when I migrate OS?
If someone has an idea, let me know. I can always go back to Vista.

did you install into the same path?

one golden w7/vista tip: never install under \program files.

yes I did install both in the same path. Left all the default directories unchanged. It is under program files\embarcadero

Should i uninstall and just put it under c:\?
Would that fix my issue? It worked under Vista.

I create a folder called c:\progs and install just about everything there. No problems with my 64-bit Vista.

Just run the compatibility wizard on delphi and it told me to run it as a windowws XP service pack 3 program. Looks like it's working right now. If it hangs again, I will uninstall everything and put it under a different folder.
