Recently I upgraded my Linux server from Fedora Core 3 to Fedora Core 6. Everything seems going well, but just before entering the log in page, there's always an window popped up:

"There was an error loading the theme Default. Can't open file /usr/share/gdm/themes/Default/Default.xml"

When I closed the window, the log in can go on smoothly. How can I get rid of this error message? Thanks!

Does that file exist and is it world readable? Try changing themes for the login manager, see if that helps.

The file does not exist. I added a soft link "Default" under /usr/share/gdm/themes/ to refer to the Bluecurve directory and that solved the problem. Thanks!
