Hi, I am getting a strange problem after upgrading a 61 rls 25.40 to CS1000M, MG, rls 5.5 with old database restored after conversion. Before upgrading when a caller dials in through PRI he gets auto attendant greeting and after dialing any extension if extension was busy the call goes to operator but after upgrading when user dials any busy extension through greeting he gets music on hold and caller stay listening music on hold even if busy extension gets idle, he has to drop himself and dials in again. I dont want a caller to get music on hold when he hits a busy extension and it should go to attendant.
We didnt reprogrammed this new PBX we restored old database through conversion so it has to work same as of before.
Any help in this
Regards

Yes, i dont know why caller gets music on hold(dialing extension while greeting is playing) after upgrade after hitting a busy extension it should go to operator

check one station.. if it is fba, that might be the reason.. trace the call.. either rdr data needs to be looked at or the station.. are these did's and is this problem just calls from external..

non dids or pvr will have unique rules for hta..

post one station

It is a DID PRI and also have a MAP universal number , when a user dial in a DID it goes OK but if any user hit universal number of that PRI (111XXXXXX) a autoattendant greeting play having option of "dial any ext" then caller gets music on hold if dial extension is busy and stays on hold forever"

In above reply YES answer was for Patches, we didnt upgraded callpilot, using old callpilot rls 1.07, 201i.

regards

1.07 is not supported on release 5.5 pbx. Not saying that this is your problem but you need to upgrade the call pilot fast or go back to 25.40. YOu will get no help from Nortel and since most make sure that we use supported configurations I doubt that anyone has run into this.

Yes, I know, but actually we got wrong keycode/Dongle of CP 600r thats why we are using old CP and waiting for new keycode/dongle. But is this problem exist due to Call Pilot?? Any other advice?

Like I said 1.07 is not supported. We don't know what kinds of problems you are going to run into with this configuration. You are wasting your time trying to troubleshoot. My advice is to pound on Nortel until they ship the new product overnight. My thought is that the callpilot port is not completing the transfer. Give the callers a new recording instructing them you are experiencing technical difficulties and give them a reception number to call.

Call them every hour and escalate if needed. It was their screw up and now you suffer.
