Problem: AD 1

Hello,

we are using a w2003 server. For testing, we have installed AD. After the installation we have problems with log onto the server. After tipping in the correct user informations and pwd, it last 30min after the user preferences are loaded.

After deinstallation of AD the login is no problem. note: We have installed and deinstalled ms exchange2003.

Any ideas?

Slow logons are almost always DNS related. Your server should point to itself for primary DNS and nothing else. Secondary DNS should be blank,

Just check your userprofile size. It most likely DNS related... but if you've got a huge profile it could be that.

It is NOT recommended to install Exchange Server 2003 on a computer that is also a Domain Controller?
