I bought a new computer recently and so I installed photoshop cs2 on my new computer. I am running on windows xp professional have 138GB free space and 2GB of ram. When The program starts up and the screen comes on to activate the program, I enter the serial number and press next then I get this message THERE IS NOT ENOUGH DISK SPACE TO START YOUR APPLICATION. PLEASE DELETE SOME FILES FROM YOUR COMPUTER AND TRY AGAIN. Then the program shuts down. Im not sure what the problem can be. I know its not the program itself because it worked fine on my old computer. Does anyone know a solution??

80% sure you have a disk block error. Start>Run>type CMD and hit return.

In the black DOS window type chkdsk /r and hit enter.
Type Y for yes to run a scan after reboot.

After you reboot win2k will go straight into disk check mode. Let it run. Since you have a very large HDD, may take 2 hours to do so plan ahead. When it finishes it will rebood and send you back to login.

Do not hit a key when the check starts or it will cancel.
