Problem Accessing DB on Seperate Server

Hi ,
We are in process of migrating CE9 (RAS) from a development server to a production server. Problem is that the Active-X report comes up with a blank grayed out page on the production server. We tried using the e-portfolio function on the production server to hopefully diagnose the problem, but it kept asking for the username and password to the ODBC (RDO), even after we supplied the proper information. ODBC is the same on both, and both connect successfully.

The only difference in the two environments is that the production server accesses SQL Server 2000 on a separate SQL only server, whereas SQL Server 2000 is on the same machine as development machine.

Any help would much appreciated.

Hi, Be sure the pageserver ( and possibly other) service(s) is running under an account that has permission to access the remote SqlServer...

That was exactly the problem. I had just assumed that the ODBC was all I needed to establish a connection.
