-New installation of CICs 6.1 c/w two 4X0 CLID cards and cp100 10seat.
-5 line l/s rotary. cp set to search by first name.
Two part problem...1) When using company directory, letters 'G' and 'T' are not recognized. 'no matches found' is the reply when in fact there are mailboxes with names beginning with 'G' & 'T'. These mailboxes are initialized and the option for voicemail selected. (2) Can not get line 005 to be picked up by cp. Have checked settings of 'lines' against the other 4 lines in cp & the KSU. No discrepancies. Great site BTW!

what version of callpilot... also, did you include the mboxes in the directory.... also... line 5 is line 31.

v2.x of cp, yes these mailboxes are in the directory, and I renamed line 031 'line 005' in the 'lines' layer of the KSU.

Whats curious is that in trying to solve my original problem (line 005 not being picked up by cp) I reinitialized the cp and after re-entering relevant fields (via CallPilot Manager) I still had my line 005 issue plus...this new issue of letters 'G' & 'T' not being recognized. BTW, I did try accessing the 'Company Directory' from more than one set to eliminate the possibility of a bad dialpad.

you must program line 31 to be answered by AA in the call pilot, not the KSU.You didn't answer Nam555 about mailboxes being in directory....you must include each mailbox in directory in order to access this way.

there are 2 major version of CallPilot. They are 2.0.xxxx and 2.1.xxxx. The reason for this is because the 2.0 needs a DTMF echo patch versus the 2.1 does not. This may fix your problem.

Also,I would try deleting the mbox, recycle power to the CP and re enter the mbox.

I hope this helps

Thanks for the tips. Will try in the AM.

Accdessing company directory...
Be certain directory is turned on press 5 from main voice mail menu. And you are searching for the correct name (first or last) this is a programmable option in in the CP

RELIEF!!! Thanks people. My issues are put to rest. I had configured line 005 as line 005 in cp where I should have configured line 005 as line 031 in cp. As for the company directory issue, I resolved this by creating an answer tree in CCR. I have v2.0 cp so the tip about the DTMF echo issue in v2.0 might still be a problem. This I can address at my leisure as I have voicemail functioning in this system. Two thumbs up for the depth of expertise in this forum!!
