Hello,
I posted similar in Exchange forum as well, but don't know if it's Exchange issue or domain issue.
I suspect this may be related to a recent DC (and FSMO role holder) demotion.
Scenario:
Root domain
Child domain
Exchange 2003 in Root domain
User accounts in Child domain
All 2003 Servers
Since removing the FSMO role holder DC in child domain, I am having a problem accessing user accounts from the Root domain. I am not seeing any of the Exchange tabs in ADUC on the Exchange server. Also, it takes at least 30 seconds for the account properties page to display. But before displaying the account properties page, I receive the following message:
This had all worked properly before removing the DC from the Child domain. I transferred all FSMO roles to another Child DC. I specified the GC on that other Child DC as well. Replication appears to be working fine.
I'm at a loss, and have scoured the internet for possible causes to no avail. I appreciate ANY suggestions you may have.
Thanks for any advice you can offer.
