One of our Exec Admins has her managers ext keyed on her set (key 6) and when calls are made to him it rings her phone and she inadvertantly picks up his calls when she goes off hook. When she trys to forward the calls to him they go directly to voicemail, I'm assuming because his primary is tied up with her. 1. how can I make it so when calls are placed to him they dont ring her phone (just light up the key) and 2. if she is on his line and then tries to transfer it back to him in his office, how can we get it to not go into voicemail?

Thanks

In the Phone config, on the directory number screen, Line settings for this device, there should be ring setting drop down boxes with several options to use, including flash only

Pretty much a novice, cant seem to find the directory number screen for that ext on her phone. We have CM System version: 6.1.2.1118-1.

Thanks for the help

Log into the Publisher, near the top of the web page there are some drop down links, go to device, down to phone, search for that admins phone... from there click on the admins link when you find it and you will go to the admin page for that specific phone. On the left side of the page you will find the lines tied to that phone, goto the exec's phone and click on it, now go down near the bottom of the page and you will find the ring settings. Change that to flash and go back up and update.

About her trying to send his call back to him, she can put the caller on hold, call him and tell him he has someone on the phone and the exec can pull the call off of hold.

She could also Park the call if Park is set up on the system. Then call him and tell him where the call is Parked.
